First, the new house saga..... It's such a long story, let me think of a way to explain it cliff notes style. OK, here it goes. We tried to buy the house in Provo, found out we were lied to the entire time, backed out. Then decided to use our own experienced realtor to help us buy it again, since the price of it dropped. We were threatened by the old realtor, he backed down, then his broker fired him because of all the borderline illegal crap he was pulling. We told the banks (it was a straight short-sale at this point), they had 1 week to get all of the signed paperwork to our lender. By some miracle, they actually did it. Then a few days later we closed on the house. And we have been working on unpacking, and pulling weeds ever since.
Our Spanish Fork home is still up for sale, which is extremely stressful. It is really priced low, has brand new carpets, don't know what else we can do. :-( In the meantime, we have two house payments, and utilities on two homes. Ouch! I just keep reminding myself of all the positives. Like having the boys take off after school to go to their grandparents house, just a few streets down. Or when they run across the street to their aunt and uncle's house. That's the reason why we moved, and I know in the long run this is what I wanted.
Our summer vacation this year had to be squeezed in with one of Steve's business trips. He was in Oregon for some conference, so we took the opportunity to visit Sherry & Brandon in Vancouver, WA and George & Ginger in Medford, OR. We stopped at Crater Lake between the two. We had a lot of fun. Here are some of the pictures.
