Lost Baby Tooth

So Ryan has had another loose tooth for weeks. Yesterday after school I tried to see if I could pull it, but Ryan would squeal and run off. So I just left it.

Then, after dinner he was talking to me and I noticed that the loose tooth was GONE! I asked him if he got it out, and he seemed rather surprised that it was gone. So I was thinking he must have swallowed it.

But Allen said that they had been pillow-fighting in the basement, and that it probably got knocked out down there. So Ryan and Allen ran downstairs to search for it. Finding a baby tooth in that thick carpet down there is virtually impossible.

So there is the mystery, did he swallow it or is it somewhere in the basement. I doubt we will ever know. But it's grossing me out, so I'll be vacuuming down there today!

WW Week 2

Well, only lost 1 pound this week, but considering the week of the month it is, it's pretty good. Now my biggest challenge for the week will be the kids Halloween candy..... well, only the good stuff (CHOCOLATE). Steve and I talked about it last night, and he is going to put all of their chocolate candy in his trunk... LOL..... Out of sight, out of mind! I swear, chocolate is my crack.
(Total weight loss -4.4 lbs)

The Annual Pumpkin Carving!

Kathy is kind enough to host the Schultz family and friends (Niwond) :-D, pumpkin carving night. We had a lot of fun watching all the mess and mayhem. One of the funniest events that night was when Roman threw up on my arm, so I handed him to Steve, so I could wash my arm off. But right after I handed him to Steve, he threw up all over him. It was totally disgusting, and yet, pretty dang funny. Thanks to Todd for letting Steve borrow a clean shirt. :-) Anyway, here are some of the pictures from the evening.

Week 1 on Weight Watchers

Well, for those of you who know, I started Weight Watchers last week. I weighed in last night, and for the first week I have lost 3.4 lbs. Not a bad way to start! I just have to try to remind myself to not worry about just how much I plan to lose, and be happy with every little bit that comes off. Which, is VERY hard to do when you have a lot of weight to lose. Anyway, just thought I'd share my success so far. I could use all the cheer leading I can get.... LOL

Grateful

I was washing my hair yesterday and I was just thinking about my life. (Why I was thinking about my life while washing my hair, I'll never know.) And it dawned on me just how blessed I am. I just have so much to be grateful for. Sometimes I just get so distracted by the pain in my back, that I forget to look around me and see all the good things in my life.

1. I have an amazing husband who is awesome! He has a great job that he enjoys most of the time :-D. And he hasn't crashed a car in over 7 years! LOL, sorry Steve, just had to add that.

2. Eric is doing so well in Junior High, and he is just happy, which is a relief! He is moving right along to be an eagle scout soon. And he loved learning how to waterski this summer.

3. Allen is doing much better in school this year. He remembers to bring home his homework! YEA! And, BONUS, he actually has been turning it in too! Allen also did very well in flag football this year, but he looks forward to being old enough to play tackle. LOL
4. Ryan just loves Kindergarten. His speech has improved a ton! And his reading lessons are going really well. And he just lost his very first tooth!

All the kids are healthy, and other than my stupid back, our whole family is doing really well. I guess when people are so stressed out about the stock market and such, it's nice to look at the wonderful blessings you have, and be grateful for them.

School Pictures

I got my kids school pictures yesterday, and it got me thinking about my pictures when I was young. I'll have to scan in some of Steve's school pictures too. Man, some of them are SOOOOO funny. Sorry Steve! :-D

Here are the kids pictures for this year... and yes, Ryan looks totally crazy! I really wish that the photographers would take a few extra moments with the kids that look psycho when they do crazy smiles. Oh well!

Klutz.....

Well, it's official, I'm a klutz and totally falling apart. On Saturday I went to the ward camp out, the boys all spent the night, but I just came up Saturday morning. They split everyone into teams like the Olympics, so I was in Russia. Then they set up crazy and silly pseudo Olympic games, some that involved Cheetos and shaving cream. LOL.... It would have been great had I not participated in the tug of war.

Now before you go...... with your back??? Let me explain, I warned my team I couldn't really help much, but they needed another person. So when the pulling began, all I was willing to do was grab the rope and just lean back. All was well until the other team lurched and we were pulled forward, that's when my ankle got caught in a small hole and twisted, and a creepy pop sound happened. Well, that's when I went to the ground.

It seems I ripped a tendon in my ankle, which makes it so I can't walk right. Which in turn made my back really start to hurt. Then after a few days of that, my knee on the opposite leg has started to hurt, because I am using that leg for almost everything. HOLY COW! It sucks getting old! Can't I just get a new body? One that is preferably skinny?

Flashback Friends

In this picture we have, from back row (left to right), Kerry, Me, Matt, Stephanie, Lori, Susie, (front row) Lizzy and Linda! We were the neighborhood hoodlums that were constantly ding dong ditching and toilet papering peoples houses. I'm surprised we didn't get into more trouble than we did. But I remember playing with Kerry, Stephanie, Lizzy and Linda during the summer nights. We were suppose to come on when the street lights came on..... But my mom or dad always had to yell to get us to come in at night.

Getting Desperate

OK, so here is what I'm thinking. For the sake of my back, and my self-esteem, I have got to start losing weight. My first obstacle is my really bad back. I'm in physical therapy, and I'm doing fairly well at it, but it still limits me some. Second obstacle, big ole cortisone shots. I've had three rounds of them in 6 weeks. And I know that will make losing weight a major challenge. So obviously, I'll have to continue my work with the physical therapist, but that still leaves my diet up for grabs.

Now as far as diets go, I can not eat all that pre-packaged crap, it just makes me gag. I am in a dinner group, which means, I have dinners brought to me every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.... just the main dish. Which is WONDERFUL, yet it leaves me unable to know the nutritional content of my meals. Most of the things they bring are fairly healthy.

OK, so there it is! How on earth do I even go about getting a handle on this with my crazy life? Any good idea's anyone? And Blake...... watch yourself! :-)
